About us
I AM, is a group of people who have lived in poverty and by God’s blessing have been able to escape and live a decent life. Aware that not all people have the same opportunity, we have the aim of forming a foundation in which orphaned children who are homeless or live in families with extreme poverty can be helped.
Low-income families will also benefit through job opportunities to obtain daily support to be able to make their own living and secure their existence. All projects will be financed by donations and supported by volunteers who have the same vision. We are a non-profit organization.
Mission
Our mission is to fight against poverty and to create a healthy environment, free of violence, that covers the basic needs of housing, food, clothing, education and recreation which are necessary for the intellectual and emotional development of each low-income child. With the support of our donors, we will change the living circumstances of children and adolescents, with which we will help build a better future for them and their communities.
How you can support us
The foundation is located in Puerto Quito, Ecuador. It has a land of 8 hectares, which still needs to be fenced, and an access to road must be enabled, so that the building of a home for children and adolescents can be realised.
We aim for our foundation to have medical, dental and psychological qualified staff for the care, support and guidance of minors.
Project «I am Foundation» in Puerto Quito
This project will provide the opportunity to comprehensive and free care to children and adolescents and their families in situations of child labour, begging, vulnerability, and extreme poverty, providing specialized care with methodological processes, in accordance with the UN Code for Children and Adolescents, with the purpose of restoring their rights, generating opportunities, competencies, life skills and carrying out processes of reinsertion into their families under the consideration of legal issues, protection and an appropriate gender approach.
The programs are aimed at low-income children who live in rural and urban outskirt areas, where they do not have access to specialized health services or complete formal education.
